2017 Stream Clean
Preregister now to volunteer!

Stream Clean, Denton's fall waterway cleanup  event sponsored  by the City of  Denton and Keep Denton Beautiful, will be held Saturday, Oct. 14 from 8:45 a.m. to noon. You can make a difference in our community by  volunteering  for this event, which improves the appearance of our city  and impacts our quality of life by targeting specific waterways in and around Denton. When litter makes its way into our  storm drains and drainage ditches, it doesn't stop there-it ends up in our lakes, streams, and rivers.

At the 2016 event, hundreds of volunteers cleaned up 2,040 pounds of trash and 580 pounds of recyclable materials, as well as more than a dozen tires and large items.

Preregister for this year's event by visiting  ww.cityofdenton.com/streamclean. By preregistering, you will be able to pick up your T-shirt and supplies during early check-in, Oct. 12 and 13. Pre-registration ends Oct. 8, but on-site registration will be available the day of the event from 8 to 8:45 a.m. at City Hall, located at 215 E. McKinney St.
