We are pleased to announce the 6th Annual Wicker Park Bucktown Fall Dinner Crawl! Foodies around Chicagoland are invited to taste small bites and signature appetizers from participating restaurants while exploring all that Wicker Park and Bucktown have to offer.
The crawl is divided into three routes. Tickets are on sale now. The early bird special of $30 per person for each route is through Sunday, September 17, after which they will be sold for $45 per person through September 25, and $55 the day of the crawl (if there are any tickets left!).
SHREDDING & E-RECYCLING DAYS

WPB SSA #33 will host its next shredding / e-recycling event of the year this Saturday at the A.N. Pritzker School parking lot. Gather your old financial records, cancelled checks, credit card statements, love letters from your ex and watch them get destroyed in a matter of minutes, right before your very eyes! SEPTEMBER NETWORKING MIXER AT DOVE'S LUNCHEONETTE

The West Town & Wicker Park Bucktown Chambers of Commerce are hosting a community wide trick or treat. Your business will be responsible for providing the candy to the neighborhood kids and we'll do the rest!
We will provide both printed and digital advertising as well as the "participant poster" for you to hang in your shop the day of the event.

Tree Planting RFP
Special Service Area (SSA) #33 is currently seeking bids from vendors to install 30 new trees within the SSA boundaries. Services will need to be provided this fall, between October and mid-November. The deadline to apply is Monday, Sept. 18th. For more information, please click

New Neighborhood SAFETY & SECURITY Rebate Programs
After consulting with SSA #33 taxpayers and neighborhood stakeholders over the past six months, as well as engaging a public quality-of-life consultant (

WPB SSA #33 has updated its previous graffiti abatement rebate program to include a range of
safety-related rebates:
- Security cameras
- Exterior lighting
- Anti-smash glass film
- Window repair
- Graffiti removal
- Private security
The new rebates are for eligible properties within the boundaries of WPB SSA #33, and will reimburse 50 percent of the cost of one or more of these neighborhood safety measures, up to $1,000 per measure annually, per location. Private security reimbursements are now eligible for 75% UP TO $5,000 annually, per location.

Wicker Park Farmers Market now offers composting to all of the Market vendors? Wastenot hauls away all food waste generated by the Farmers Market farmers, bakers, and prepared food purveyors and gets turned back into a healthy soil product. Additionally, Wastenot can sign you up for their residential pick-up service at a very reasonable rate!

The Promote WPB Committee meets Thursday, 9/7, 8:30 a.m. in the WPB office, 1414 N. Ashland and will be discussing a rebranding project. The Guide Development Committee meets next Tuesday, 9/12, 8:00 a.m. in the WPB office, and the Transportation Committee meets next Thursday, 9/14, 8:30 a.m. in the WPB office.
All SSA meetings are open to the public and everyone is welcome to join.
