A Message from Principal Stinson

Dear Blue Oak Families,

We appreciate the overwhelming support you have shown our school. Joining the PTO and attending Back to School Night helps us all to stay connected and work together to create the  best environment for our students! We want to announce our school mascot voted by our staff: We are officially the BLUE OAK INNOVATORS!! The definition of innovate is to "do something new". Besides opening a new school, what a perfect image of the vision for our school and students! We are innovating education as we create an environment customized to serve all. We're so glad you are a part of this journey with us!

Our first "official" Blue Oak PTO meeting will be Monday, Sept. 11th, 6:00pm at Round Table (Mary's Vineyard). We will be finalizing our preparation for our first fundraiser, Mixed Bags!

*If you need any financial assistance with uniforms, please contact Mrs. Stinson

With Gratitude,

Mrs. Stinson

SVA is Going to Cyberquest!

This year Ms. Chan will be taking students from grades 4-8 to CyberQuest. This TCOE contest, integrates 21st Century research and critical thinking skills with oral and electronic presentations. This year's CyberQuest will happen on Saturday, December 2 from 8:00AM- 3:30PM. We are looking for high-energy parent volunteers to help with this endeavor. Please contact Ms. Chan if you are interested in volunteering:  echan@sycamorevalleyacademy.org. Thanks!

Thank You, SVA PTO!

Sycamore Valley students and teachers are so grateful for the donation of technology for our classrooms! Thanks to you, we have the most robust tech setup in our history, including 1:1 Chromebooks in Middle School!

Road Construction on 280

Sycamore Valley parents, you may have noticed signs indicating a road closure on Avenue 280 beginning next week. Please note that the scheduled closure is on 280 from Road 68 to Road 60. The closure is not expected to impede access to SVA from the east, but may cause minor delays as westbound through traffic is detoured at Road 68.

School Breakfast and Lunch

Did you know that breakfast is available each school morning beginning at  7:35? It is!

You can pay for meals with cash or check (get an envelope in the school office) or online with our payment service  myschoolbucks.com. You will need to register, create an account and provide an ID number for every student you're including. An app is available so you can easily use this service on your smartphone. If you need to access your student's ID number, please call your school's front office.

School breakfast will be available at both schools before the school day begins. The cost for breakfast is $1.25.  The cost for lunch is $2.00. Applications for free or reduced price lunch will be sent home with your child on the first day of school.
