Table Talk
We may be turning the page to September, but here on the Amalfi Coast it's summer in high season with temperatures to match. Yachts, boats and floats crisscross in the port returning from a day at sea , sailing to Capri or stopping for those who want to take a dip in the cerulean waters.  Although the August beach crowds have waned, food-loving visitors are slicing and dicing and cooking their way along the Amalfi Coast.

Meanwhile, our chefs in Tuscany are preparing for our November road trip:   Food Trails & Truffles in Tuscany & Bologna, November 4 to 11 Rino and I will lead a small group of like-minded food lovers through the precious vineyards of Tuscany, to the ancient cities of Siena and San Gimignano and on to the food halls of Bologna. We'll tour the fields of Emilia Romagna, cross rolling hills and green landscapes, truffle hunt, then lunch on the truffles we've found at a Michelin star restaurant.  We'll also visit Chef Dario Cecchini's butcher shop and restaurant for a food tour and cooking class with Tuscan wine.  Another highlight is a visit to one of Italy's oldest chocolate shops in Emilia Romagna with tastings along the way.

We invite you to pack your bags, and don't forget your aprons for an incredible experience touring, cooking, dining while swirling and sipping fabulous wine.  Please note, there are just a couple spaces left.

Happy Cooking~
Lauren

Vacation Like a Roman Emperor
Positano & Capri

Even though we are heading into September, a gorgeous month in Italy, we want to remind you that 2018 is already filling up ~ especially Positano and Capri.

If you are planning to vacation like Roman Emperor Giulio Cesare Ottaviano Augusto, who loved Capri so much he traded it for the island of Ischia in 29AD, or Tiberius Claudius Nero, who followed him and ruled the world from Villa Jovis on Capri's high point, let us know and we'll pencil in your dates for 2018 (we also offer payment plans).

Vacation like the Roman Emperors who set the travel trends over two thousand years ago, but make sure you book early whether you reserve with Cooking Vacations or on your own.   The Amalfi Coast, Capri and Positano are Italy's most popular vacation spots, operating at 100% occupancy rate.
