Spotlight: Hometown Flavor
Cheers to tripling the brewing capacity at Stable Craft Brewing! As the Augusta County farm brewery expands its production capacity and adds a bottling line, it will invest $500,000 in new equipment and building construction. Thirteen new jobs will support the expansion. Staying true to Stable Craft's locavore roots, the brewery will procure over $30,000 in new Virginia-grown purchases over the next three years resulting in 88% of Stable Craft's purchases coming from Virginia farmers. This project will be supported by a Virginia Agriculture and Forestry Industries Development Fund (AFID) grant as well as a matching grant from Augusta County. For more information, click here and to support this growth, be sure to visit Stable Craft. We recommend the burgers and a Fumpkin, the brewery's nod to everyone's favorite fall flavor - pumpkin spice!
Another hometown hero since 1965, Draftco, Inc., a machine and fabrication shop based in Stuarts Draft, will invest $450,000 to expand manufacturing operations. The expansion includes quality inspection room improvements and the purchase of new machines and welding and testing equipment. As Draftco adds 16 new jobs to the area's economy, the company will be supported by the Virginia Jobs Investment Program through funding matched by the County. For more information, click here.
Here's to the companies that continue to invest in Augusta County! Adding jobs, growth and local flavor to the Shenandoah Valley, they make our community a better place.
