I'm learning more and more about your adventure and the labor of entrepreneurship each day I work with you on the East Side.
I'm amazed at the many of you who wear 12 hats - not just having a product that excels, that you can produce at scale and that attracts customers. A small business is as complex as an organism - accounting, workforce, investment, operations, supplies, marketing... and that's before customers even get in the door.
For owners of small shops, I see many of you working long hours and paying yourselves last. ESABA must continue to be an association that understands and supports the emerging successes that nurture the economic hope of the East Side. We must join you. Sale by sale. Plate by plate
Today, the day after Labor Day, we are joining
Eastside Pizzeria for Lunch Bunch Sept 5. We're meeting in their new dining room on Payne Avenue to support their years of presence on the East Side and this new adventure with a place we can gather, sit down, and connect.
Keep teaching, keep learning,

PS - Labor Day is not a single day...
