Women on the Move 2017: Talking While Female

NYSBA CLE Program

Thursday, October 26, 2017

The program hopes to address issues and practical skills that have helped other women attorneys how to manage difficult conversations and clients, as well as the legal ramifications for attorneys faced with discrimination in the work-place, as well as techniques and strategies for effectively addressing same. Difficulties in persuasive communication and being heard above the fray can stop the progression of one's career, undermine solid legal arguments, or cause clients to lose faith in a lawyer's abilities. This is particularly true for female attorneys who might be faced with hurdles in communications based on sex or age, whether misguided gender ideas or outright discrimination. Our panel of experts will provide information and updates on how to effectively communicate and persuasively face these issues.
