Dear Coaches,
I hope you are well and enjoyed a good Summer -
August brought us
ICF Converge17 - a global event attended by 1,600 coaches from 60 countries. The conference offered learning in the practice of coaching, building a coaching business, the science of coaching, and future trends. Learning with a global community is a gift.
Many NYC Chapter members attended - and the following were presenters! Congrats to
Ora Shtull, PCC for presenting: "
Building a Wildly Successful Coaching Practice" with William Aruda; and to
Stephanie Licata, presenting: "
Career Coaching: An Organizational and Individual Approach", and to
Marion Franklin, MCC for presenting, "
Shift Happens: Masterful Ways to Create Awareness". Our ICF Global Board, conference presenters, attendees and sponsors all made this event an inspirational and memorable experience.
August also brought us Hurricane Harvey - it was heartbreaking to watch the Houston Chapter attendees leave Friday morning, as airlines warned that their next opportunity could be six days later. We send Houston our prayers, love and support as they manage through this devastating event. Read about ICF Global's support for our
ICF Houston Chapter
here - it includes a USA Today's ways to help list.

Be sure to take advantage of all that ICF and ICF NYC have to offer.

ICF Global Updates -
2017 Chair's Award - Each year, the ICF Global Board Chair presents an individual or organization with the ICF Chair. Global Board Chair Hilary Oliver, PCC presented this year's Chair's Award to all
ICF Members around the globe, in recognition of the work they each do daily to advance the mission and vision of ICF.
Watch her video here. In honor of this award, all ICF Members were mailed a special bookmark. The bookmark's design was inspired by a sculpture that was gifted to the ICF Global Board by ICF Poland in March 2017.
Annual Report Now Available - The ICF 2016 Annual Report is now available. Titled, "We Are ICF," the report illustrates how ICF and its Members led the coaching profession in 2016.
ICF Releases 2017 Global Consumer Awareness Study -
ICF released findings from the 2017 Global Consumer Awareness Study during an August 25, 2017, presentation by Colin McIlheney, Global Research Director for PwC Research, at ICF Converge 2017. The study's executive summary is free for ICF Members and $15 USD for non-members.
That's all for now - thanks to our ICF NYC Board and Chapter Members for all you do to make our Chapter one of the best! Wishing you a good month, and success to families heading back to school this month!
Take good care -

The
ICF Reciprocal Peer Coaching program creates opportunities for professional growth and is accessible to all ICF Members. By coaching an ICF coach, you can receive coaching from another ICF coach. In addition to investing your time in offering coaching and being coached, you will only need to pay a nominal coordination fee for the program to match you with a coach and client and to monitor each reciprocal peer-coaching relationship.
