Beware Scammers: Top Tips for Safe Shopping


 
Have you noticed an increase in emails that try to get you to use Amazon gift cards or other discount vouchers? More than likely they are the work of scammers and third party sellers who are after your money.

We all need to be more vigilant than ever as online shopping becomes ever more popular.  We like the Lifehacker website for sensible and timely thoughts on cyber security, and so we're sharing their top tips with you.

1. Beware Massive Discounts
If it looks too good to be true, it probably is!

2. Know How to Spot Fake Reviews
Look for the verified purchase tick on Amazon.

3. Stay on Site
Scammers may try to take you away from the main commerce site, don't follow them!

Our Autumn Networking Evening


We are delighted to share the date for our Autumn networking evening and seminar. It's free to attend and you get a chance to network with fellow investors as well as picking up some top investment tips.

Join us on Wednesday, November 8 for a buffet from 6.30pm, followed by a talk from  Jason Howard of Property Investor Partnership who will be sharing his thoughts on how and why to invest in property, and whether or not to hold onto your property portfolio.
