Thank you!

, for your interest and encouragement in my writing. Without your support, writing wouldn't be any fun at all. I guess, inside of each of us is a child who wants to please others and make new friends. At the beginning of my writing journey, I never thought I would consider my readers, Facebook friends and followers real friends, but I do and I'm in your debt.

Special thanks go out to those who have read A Letter from Lancaster County and then wrote a short two or three sentence review on Amazon or another online book vendor, or wrote an encouraging note on my Facebook page or visited my blog.

Anyone who knows me knows I love giveaways! Congratulations to Lisa Towns Myers, winner of the stunning "Star in Common" quilt made by my Old Order Amish friend whom I hold in high regard, Emma Stoltzfus of E.S. Quilts in Lancaster, PA. And to Cheryl Hart, winner of the Kindle Fire 7. Both will also receive a signed copy of A Letter from Lancaster County.  The winners  can expect to receive an email to request your mailing address.

Why did I give away the splendid quilt I would dearly love to own? Both to show appreciation to my readers like you and to support my friend Emma's wholesale business.

Next week, come chat with me at Keeping Up with the Amish's Face Book Author Party where I'll ask and answer questions, and have fun. Of course, I will provide Amish-made prizes and signed books. Mark your calendar: Thursday, August 3, 2017, at 8:00 EST. Let me see, that means 5:00 Seattle time so my husband is on his own for dinner. Have you read A Letter from Lancaster County yet ? No worries, questions are general enough for anyone to answer. BTW: You must be a member of " Keeping up with the Amish " to participate. It's a fun group with a delightful leader.

I have a favor to ask of you, if you're willing. Once you read A Letter from Lancaster County, please write a short one to two sentence review on Amazon. I'm shooting for 100 reviews by the end of August. Please ask your local library to order you a copy if you're short on funds. I love libraries!

Thanks and best wishes. I appreciate each of you,

Kate
