Feast & Fete
Come celebrate First Fridays in Andersonville at their FIRST Feast and Fête event hosted by the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce!
On August 4th, bring the whole family and join them for food and fun as they transform Olive Avenue into a streetscape smorgasbord complete with live music, kid-friendly activities and German beer-garden tables.
This inaugural event is sponsored by the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with businesses on Andersonville's north end: Pork Shoppe, The Coffee Studio, Roost, Piatto Pronto, Gethsemane Garden Center, and also in partnership with #shopedgewater and the Edgewater Chamber of Commerce. A portion of proceeds go to Care for Real and Senn High School Arts Program!
All food will be served buffet style and we are offering two different times for seating: 6-7:30 pm and 7:30-9 pm. Both time slots will include, BBQ from the Pork Shoppe, vegetarian options from The Coffee Studio, family entertainment, and games. Alcoholic beverages can be purchased at The Coffee Studio and must be consumed on their patio space. Guests can also receive a free beer token at EdgeFest the following day by visiting the Edgewater Chamber of Commerce Booth.

CSB selects Care for Real as Edgefest beneficiary
Chicago Spirit Brigade will have four performances at EdgeFest with two on Saturday, August 5th, and two on Sunday, August 6

. Be sure to spot the red buckets to make your charitable donation! 125% of what CSB raises at these 4 performances will go to
Care for Real
! And we've found a matching donor to help extend the $$ raised at the events.

Care for Real Annual School Drive Kicks Off
Hard to believe but it's time to begin preparing for the new school year! In late August, Care for Real hosts an Annual School Drive. Because of
your financial
donations in 2016, our organization helped to ensure more than 800 kids received a backpack chockfull of supplies to start the year off on the right foot.
But we can't continue the program without your support. Please consider making a cash donation online at
www.careforreal.org/donate
or host a School Supply Back Pack Drive on our behalf (large backpacks are needed most). You can also drop off backpacks at Care for Real starting today. Hours for donations are Monday-Friday from
9 am-3:30 pm
and Saturday from
9 am-12:30 pm
and are accepted in the back.

- Send information as you would like it to appear in the newsletter.
- To be included in the upcoming Friday release, information must be received by 12pm on Tuesday of that week.
- Information may not be included for more than two consecutive weeks.
- Information may not be included if the event date is more than two weeks before the newsletter release.

Theatre District Passport. Just like a coffee shop punch card, the Theatre District Passport can be stamped each time you see a play, and after 5 stamps, the 6th play will be free! The Theatre District Passport program is only valid with participating locations.

How It Works
- Pick up your Edgewater Theatre District Passport. You'll find them at participating theatres, the Chamber of Commerce, and other businesses and organizations in the neighborhood.
- Purchase tickets to a show at a participating theatre. It's always a good idea to purchase in advance - the word is spreading about the high quality shows in Edgewater. They're selling out!
- Have your Passport stamped every time you see a play at a participating theatre.
- Once you've collected 5 stamps, your 6th ticket will be free. Contact the theatre directly to reserve your free tickets - it's that easy!
- Grab your next passport, and start exploring!
