RENEWALS – THANK YOU FOR YOUR INVESTMENT!

MEMBER MESSAGES
5 THINGS WE DID FOR YOU IN THE PAST WEEK
  1. Participated in a Chambers of Commerce Alliance of Ventura & Santa Barbara Counties to review the status of many pieces of state legislation affecting business. All is currently quiet in Sacramento since the legislators are on break until August 21. However, when they return things will be moving very quickly.

  2. The Chamber’s Nominating Committee met to start the process of selecting some new Directors for the 2018 Board. They have a long list of very talented potentials.

  3. The Board of Directors held their regular monthly meeting where they took a support position on SB 17 which would require pharmaceutical companies to provide advance notice when raising the cost of prescription drugs.

  4. Rendered public comments at a California energy Commission meeting in Oxnard for the Puente Power Project supported by the Chamber. There is one more set of hearings planned in September.

  5. Distributed thousands of Dallas Cowboys Training Camp souvenir programs that promote our members and the community.
