Notes:

When do we move back to Zack's Place?

We will be ready to move back into Zack's Place on Monday August the 7th. I bet you are wondering how we were able to do this renovation!
We began talking about needing the space and the new kitchen as we were very crowded for certain programs and also for lunch. Wheel chairs could not maneuver in the space. People could not get into the kitchen.

We searched around for possible grants and with the help of Emmett and Helen we found that Timken was willing to help. We also applied for a grant with the Lindsay Foundation and were successful in raising enough money combined with a gift from the Kauffman Foundation to take on the project.

Ron Jaynes has been working everyday since the construction began in June. He has made it happen. He is not paid, he is volunteering and I personally am very grateful for his hard work. When everyone comes back you will see what a beautiful job he has done.

Also, Hypertherm came last week and helped paint. Norm Frates Sr. was here for 2 days painting, Neal McNealus and Candace Coburn were also here.

We are also grateful to the Woodstock Elementary School for lending us the fabulous space while this construction happened.

Everybody loves a hug but........

This is for families to talk to their family member that attends programs. We have lots of new people attending our programs which is wonderful. They don't know the people that have been coming for ten years. We have to remember that everyone needs their special space and not to hug or even handshake unless we get permission. We have children that come and teenagers and we have grown woman and men. It is important to respect everyone's space and to only share hugs when invited. Thank you so much for respecting others.
You can all hug me! But remember to ask!
