We are a joint committee of The Virginia Bar Association and the Virginia State Bar, with staffing provided by The Virginia Bar Association. All lawyers, regardless of practice area, benefit from learning more about the skills used in negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and other options for alternative dispute resolution. Our Joint ADR Committee has an impressive record of providing its members with access to excellent information about the practice of ADR in Virginia. We offer regular CLE and CME programming, and this year are hosting A Place at the Table: A Symposium on Attracting 21st Century Clients & Efficiently Solving Their Problems on September 25, 2017, at the Troutman Sanders Building in Richmond.

We offer monthly emails, a blog, and a semi-annual newsletter with useful and up-to-date information about skills as a neutral and as an advocate in ADR processes. They reflect the latest thinking and developments in the field. Membership also gives you access to networking opportunities; some of the best minds in Virginia in ADR are members of the Committee. Our partnerships with other groups expand your exposure to information and professional relationships.
