The Illinois Open Championship Returns To The Glen Club
The Illinois Open Championship returns to The Glen Club on August 7th through the 9th. The 68th Illinois Open Championship is a 54-hole stroke play event with a 264-player starting field size. The field will be comprised of place-winners in eight (8) qualifying events and those players exempted from qualifying. This state championship is open to professionals and amateurs alike with a handicap of 10.0 or less who reside within the state of Illinois.
Competitors will play one round at each of the two host facilities: The Glen Club in Glenview, Illinois, and Briarwood Country Club in Deerfield, Illinois during rounds one and two. Following 36 holes of play, the field will be cut. The final round will take place at The Glen Club.
The 2017 Illinois Open Championship will achieve two noted milestones --- marking the 10th time The Glen Club will host the championship round, the most of any course through the event's 67-year history, and the return of Briarwood C.C. as an Illinois Open tournament site for the first time in more than 50 years. The last time Deerfield-based Briarwood C. C. was a host site was in 1966 when local PGA professional Emil Esposito won his first of two Illinois Open Championships ('66/'74).

Springbrook Women's Invitational -- Competitive Golf At Its Best!
Calling all women golfers -- pick a partner and join in the friendly competition of the Springbrook Women's Invitational on Monday, August 21. This 18-hole tournament format has the lower score of the two players representing the team score. Any female amateur golfer 21 years of age or older with an official USGA handicap is eligible. Entry fee of $120 includes greens fees, cart fees, range balls, continental breakfast, lunch and contests.
