DODBCResearchCall Your Senators to Save the DOD Breast Cancer Research Program
The Durbin-Blunt NDAA Medical Research Amendment was introduced yesterday to remove the problematic language in the NDAA bill. We need advocates calling their U.S. Senators and urging them to cosponsor the Durbin-Blunt NDAA Medical Research Amendment and to support Amendment #592 when it comes to the floor for a vote. As of now, these Senators have cosponsored but we need more support! The NDAA bill could come to the floor early this week.

Senate offices that have not cosponsored need to hear their constituents. When you call your senators, please deliver the following message: "Save the vitally important Department of Defense Breast Cancer Research Program. Cosponsor the Durbin-Blunt NDAA Medical Research Amendment 592 and support the amendment when it comes to the floor for a vote."

Click here to find your Senators and start calling them today. Please let NBCC know if your Senator agrees to cosponsor the amendment, and advise the Senator's staff to contact/email:  Jessica Armao McNiece, Health Policy Director
U.S. Senator Richard J.  Durbin, 202.224.2152.
