Founded in 1994, the Immunization Action Coalition of Washington (IACW), a program of WithinReach, works to improve the health of the community by minimizing the incidence of vaccine preventable diseases through the optimal use of immunizations across the lifespan. Our priorities for 2017 are catching up toddlers by age three; be a trusted source of timely communication about immunizations; and work with non-traditional partners.

ADULT IMMUNIZATION CARDS FOR PATIENTS |
We are pleased to share an updated version of our adult immunization card. This pocket-sized schedule, printed on sturdy cardstock, is a great way to remind adults that they need immunizations too and, hopefully, prompt a visit to their primary care provider or pharmacist! A brief version of the adult schedule by age is included, but recommendations by risk factor and footnotes are not, as this is not intended as a reference item for immunizers. They are free to healthcare providers and educators in Washington! Order yours by emailing Mackenzie with your desired quantity and mailing address.

August is National Immunization Awareness Month (NIAM)! This is a wonderful opportunity to join with partners around the country in promoting immunization. The National Public Health Information Coalition's NIAM toolkit contains key messages, vaccine information, sample news releases and articles, sample social media messages, links to web resources from CDC and other organizations, and logos, web banners, posters and graphics to use with social media. You can use the toolkit to design your own promotions, and copy or adapt the contents to fit the particular news and issues of your own organization or community.
