To apply, download the application and email the completed form to RAM by August 14, 2017 You MUST be a RAM member to apply, though RAM members may apply on behalf of organizations within their communities.

2017 John Maattala Bin Grant Application

The Recycling Association of Minnesota offers recycling bins for the John Maattala recycling bin grant every year.  This year an assortment of compost bins are also available.   You must be a RAM member to be considered and awarded bins through the RAM bin grant.  When planning or improving your recycling program, remember to utilize RAM's free downloadable recycling bin signs! 

Dates and deadlines are as follows:

-Application Deadline: August 14.2017

-Winners Announced:  September 15, 2017

-Bins need to be picked up by: October 31,2017

About John Maattala: John was a long time RAM member and solid waste officer for Crow Wing County who passed away in 2011. He was a great asset to the solid waste and recycling community and he is greatly missed by colleagues and friends. John was an avid outdoors-man and had served in the U.S. Air Force. This bin grant is given each year in his honor.
