Foster Your Education While Having a Great Time With Your Colleagues at the PATH Intl. Conference and Annual Meeting
Conference logo
Grab your boots and join us for the excellent education sessions and networking at the 2017 PATH Intl. Conference and Annual Meeting , November 8-11, 2017, in San Antonio, Texas! This conference, presented by title sponsor Purina, is the premier event in equine-assisted activities and therapies, and we are excited about the excellent educational sessions the conference offers (50 sessions divided into five tracks).

According to data gathered from more than 8,000 members and 877 member centers, many PATH Intl. members have not been able to attend the annual conference; it just hasn't been affordable for many. We listened, streamlining many activities and implementing several changes to reduce costs. We are thrilled to announce that the conference registration fee of $450 is the lowest it has been in a decade!

Compliance Corner: Newly Certified Instructors and Your First Renewal
Congratulations to our newly certified PATH Intl. Instructor Members! That was no easy task, and we are excited to have you as new instructors. We at the PATH Intl. office would like to talk about your first time renewing as an instructor in this installment of Compliance Corner.

We understand the hard work put into becoming an instructor, so for your first renewal you are welcome to use your certification workshop for your CEUs. All certification workshops count for 20 CEUs, which include the disability education hours (DE) along with the general education hours (CE) and the core required hours (CR) for your certification.

The other reason we extend this CEU opportunity to newly certified instructors is because not all newly certified instructors will have a full 12 months before their first renewal. All certifications expire with your membership expiration date regardless of the time of year when you gained your certification.

All instructor members must submit a compliance form with renewal each year. To fill out the compliance form for the first time, write "Newly Certified" in the hours table and sign and date the bottom of the form. That's all you need to do for CEUs for the very first year!

Once you have renewed the first time, then you will begin gaining CEUs for the next renewal. Visit the PATH Intl. CEU Guidelines Page on the website for more information about acceptable and non-acceptable CEUs.

If you need assistance after viewing the guidelines, watch the how-to videos on the PATH Intl. YouTube Page

Please contact Kim Sperry for questions or guidance regarding individual/instructor renewals and compliance.
