After a year of renovations, the Trinity Retreat Center will reopen this fall to churches, dioceses, and non-profit groups looking for a quiet, hospitable location for meetings and retreats. Episcopalians in the Dutchess County area (and those in nearby counties/deaneries) are invited to this special outdoor event. Church of the Resurrection, Hopewell Junction, along with St. Luke's and St. Andrew's, Beacon, will offer food, music and games on the 1-acre front lawn of St. Luke's for this get-to-know-each-other day. If we really know each other, perhaps we can join in future service projects, joint services, or help each other in other ways. We never know where the Spirit might lead us - together! A Tale of Two Houses

Still a home for immigrants to America, it was the first stop for Elizabeth MacKillop, a child from Edinburgh, during those early years of the 20th century when Edith Shepard Fabbri was about to build the house we enjoy today. Reflections will be offered on how these two homes, and the lives of Edith and Elizabeth, provide snapshots of American life then and now. From Urbino to Manhattan: The Della Rovere Library

In 1607, the last Duke of Urbino built a great library in the ducal summer palace in Urbania to celebrate the birth of a long-awaited heir. Two and half centuries later the magnificent shelving was shipped across the Atlantic by an aesthete-architect, Egisto Fabbri as the jewel decorating one of the loveliest houses of the Upper East Side. The Diocesan Fund for Clergy Critical Needs Committee allocates grants to canonically resident priests, deacons or congregations of the Diocese of New York, as follows:
  • Medical/dental and other needs. See the application form here.
  • Educational grants. See the application form here.

Bedell Fund Grant
Open to churches in Region II (Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties)
St. Matthew's Church, Bedford accepts applications from Region II churches for a grant for capital projects from the Bedell Fund.  The applicant must demonstrate stability and vitality and the commitment of the congregation to the project.  For more information and to apply, click here.

Space is filling up quickly and weekends this fall are already booked; weekday retreats in the fall, and weekends and weekdays in 2018 are still available.
