Dear StJPII Families,
I pray to our Heavenly Father that He is giving you strength through this difficult time! It is unfathomable what our families are going through. With much prayer and guidance from the Holy Spirit, I am ready to open our doors to the children. This is a soft opening so that we can create a sanctuary that provides a safe, secure, and loving environment for our family to get back together. It is my hope and prayer that restarting school will allow for the children to feel a sense of normalcy, as well as allow our families time to rebuild. Our community can be helping hands for those in need and many are READY to help!
I am so grateful for the outpouring of generosity that is already happening: the stories of family members taking other families in their homes, lending cars, and the many supplies and monetary donations that we have already collected.
We will open our doors to students on Wednesday, September 6 at 9:00 a.m.
- Wednesday, September 6 – Friday, September 8: School Hours will be 9:00 a.m. – 3:00/3:15/3:30. Classes will start later in the morning to help with travel time.
- Please know that if you cannot be here, that is okay: until we find our new normal, all absences will be excused and teachers will be focused primarily on caring for the children. We will adjust homework, grades, and curriculum as needed to accommodate all students.
Harvey Impact Parent Survey
Thank you for responding to the survey, it is serving as a valuable tool to allow me to delegate, consider specific needs, and maximize our efforts. Please click here to volunteer or let us know if you need help -

Work Crew
StJPII parent Don Iacobell has graciously volunteered to kick-off our work crews' efforts. The clean up team is also requesting the following items: jab saws/dry wall saws/box cutters, work gloves, trash cans/wheel barrows, heavy duty trash bags, Go-Pros or high quality video devices. Please begin collecting these items at home and we will let you know when they are needed.
As with any difficulty we face, it is so important to be sure that we are continuing to listen to our Father’s words. Today in my Jesus Calling it states:
“Seek Me with your whole being. I desire to be found by you, and I orchestrate the events of your life with purpose in mind. When things go well and you are blessed, you can feel Me smiling on you. When you encounter rough patches along your life-journey, trust that My Light is still shining upon you. My reasons for allowing these adversities may be shrouded in mystery, but My continual Presence with you is an absolute promise. Seek Me in good times, seek Me in hard times. You will find Me watching over you all the time.” Deuteronomy 4:29; Hebrews 10:23; Psalm 145: 20; Psalm 121: 7-8.
There are no more perfect words than these.
May God bless you all,
