Afternoon Dismissal Reminder

It is school and parish policy that all students who are car riders be picked up using the carpool procedures in place. This is put in place for the safety of all children. Please do not pick up at the parish office doors or on the side of school or church in order to avoid the carpool line. You also cannot park in a designated Special Carpool spot unless you have paid for that spot. The carpool lines move swiftly and are clear of our parking lot by 3:05. I know that the safety of all children is important to us all- even if we have to wait in line for a few minutes more.

Taking Action on the Opioid Crisis

St. Bernadette Church (6500 St. Bernadette Avenue, Prospect) will hold a panel discussion about the opioid crisis on
Thursday, September 21 at 7:00 pm in the St. Bernadette Parish Center near Norton Commons. With deaths from drug overdoses in our Commonwealth rising by 30% over the last five years, this is a topic that all families need to know about.

Topics will include a discussion of how to begin dealing with the issue, both in families and in the community; signs and symptoms of addiction; how to seek treatment; and how to support those who have lost loved ones.

The panel discussion will be moderated by Gary Montgomery and will include experts in the fields of addiction, treatment, recovery, and spirituality.  This event is being hosted with the parish by Catholic Charities of Louisville and the Knights of Columbus and is free and open to the public. The doors will open at 6:30 pm.
