New Faces: Welcome!

The BEAM program welcomes new Outreach Coordinator Mary Malowicki. Mary earned her Master's at Keuka College and has over six years of experience with case management services. She believes strongly that coordination and support play an important role particularly in regard to post-secondary education. She is working from the Rome and Wampsville offices and joined the team in late June.

Career Pathways for Youth 

MVCC Professor Bill Judycki led a class in unmanned aerial systems, or drones, recently with  Career Pathways for Youth  participants. It was a great learning experience for everyone!  Classes allow the participants to build and keep their drones. Next classes with openings are August 2nd and 3rd. Call 315-798-5638 to register.

A huge thank you to our Face Forward program participants for our spiffy new paint job!  Participants have painted most of the offices on the 2nd floor of the Paul Building, annex offices next to the bathrooms.

The make-over looks great! Thanks for all the hard work!

The YouthBuild Utica program has remained very active in the community.  They have completed their work at the Veteran's Outreach Thrift Store and have moved to the Gym. (Below)

WDB Staff Retreat! July 21st, 2017
There will be a staff meeting on July 21, 2017 from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM.  All available Workforce Development Board staff are expected to attend and participate.  The meeting will be held at the MVCC Rome Campus in room 150 of the new Plumley Complex.

We will have presentations on:

  • Motivating Clients
