September 1, 2017

Dear Columbus Academy Families and Friends,
If you are looking for a way to help those in the Houston area affected by Hurricane Harvey and its aftermath, our school has arranged for a unique opportunity to have items our community collects shipped free of charge.

Thanks to Shay Northup, distribution and logistics manager at Williams & Sonoma in Grove City, items will be delivered via Williams & Sonoma trucks to the greater Houston area and donated to Red Cross micro-distribution sites.

Beginning this upcoming Tuesday morning (September 5) and ending the following afternoon (Wednesday, September 6), our campus will be collecting the following items in BLUE CARTS at all dropoff and pickup locations.
  • bottled water
  • diapers/wipes
  • baby formula
  • pet food
  • personal care items (especially travel sizes) -- must be sealed
    • shampoo
    • body wash/soap
    • toothpaste/brushes/floss
    • shaving items (no aerosol cans, please)
    • feminine hygiene products
  • dish soap
  • trash bags
  • paper towels
  • toilet paper
  • sponges
  • washcloths (NEW)
  • towels (NEW)
  • blankets (NEW)
  • school supplies/activity packets
  • pencils/pens (no crayons, please)
Please note that due to strict regulations about the transport of chemicals, no cleaning supplies will be collected.

Thank you for assisting us in this effort and for helping those in need.
Sincerely,

Columbus Academy Service Department
