Weekly Letter from Principal Joe Hansen
I recently heard an interview with our former bishop, now Cardinal Joseph Tobin of the Archdiocese of Newark. He was asked about what people meant when they referred to him as a “Francis bishop.” He answered by saying a “Francis bishop” must be willing to encounter those he is ministering to. He mentioned humility and having a desire to serve others. Those words stirred my soul and provide a great example of leadership in a Catholic school.
Weekly Letter from Deacon Rick Wagner
I have had several conversations with parents lately that have centered on the fear that they were “losing their family.” Nothing dramatic, nothing sudden…but a slow, gradual loss of what their family used to be. Sign up for After-School Work Study now open
Did you know that your student(s) can earn tuition credit ($5 per day) for working 30 minutes after school? Students report to Mr. Stack's room (Room 213) immediately following the end of school. They have three primary jobs: vacuuming, taking trash out and wiping down classrooms/windows. It's pretty simple and it adds up! We rely on your students help, so it is much appreciated! Credits toward tuition will be given at the end of the month and credited toward the following month's tuition payment.
For more information, to sign up or if you have questions, contact Dan Thompson at dthompson@BishopChatard.org .
Blue Crew Opportunities
Blue Crew is a "work study" opportunity for parents, worth $15/hour in tuition credit. This is a great way to help out BCHS and meet other parents! We really appreciate the help and support of BCHS.

Click here to find September/October Blue Crew Opportunities. Please email bluecrew@bishopchatard.org to sign up for a shift. Please know that you will be selected and notified if you are assigned a shift. Signing up does not guarantee working for Blue Crew.

As new opportunities arise, they will be shared in this weekly newsletter.
Call-Out Meetings and Try-Outs

A message from the Attendance Office
If your child needs to leave school early, please remember that he/she is responsible for picking up a pass from the main office during passing periods or the lunch period. A student must have a pass prior to leaving school, and preferably prior to the class period when the student will be leaving. Please contact the school office if your student is unaware that he/she needs to leave early due to emergency, change in appointment time, etc. Thank you!
Dad's Day Breakfast
Friday, September 15
Join us for the first Dad's Day Breakfast of the year! The three new pastors of the North Deanery will join us at the first of five Dad's Day Breakfast events! Pastors Fr. Todd Riebe (Christ the King), Fr. Michael Hoyt (St. Thomas Aquinas and a BCHS grad), and Fr. John McCaslin (St. Simon - Fr. John's appearance is pending) will share their stories as we welcome them to the North Deanery.

Doors open at 6:00 a.m., the event concludes by 7:15 a.m.

Cost is just $5 per person, payable at the door. We do, however, request that you RSVP so that we can get a headcount for breakfast.

Great time with your kids! We call it Dad's Day, but Moms are always welcome to attend.

Please RSVP here by Tuesday, September 12 at noon.
