THOUSANDS FLEE WILDFIRES BURNING IN THE U.S. AND CANADA

Wildfires barreled across the baking landscape of the western U.S. and Canada, destroying a smattering of homes, forcing thousands to flee and temporarily trapping children and counselors at a California campground.

LOST CALF RESCUED IN ALAMO FIRE GETS RIDE WITH CAL FIRE
THE TRIBUNE, 7/13/2017

A lost calf wandering in the aftermath of the  Alamo Fire east of Santa Maria on Thursday got a helping hand - and a ride - from Cal Fire.
