We would like to thank all of our members and competitors for your patience while we worked on the next evolution of the USBA/WBA. And now it's here! The new USBAWBA.com is now live, and we are very excited! We started the project back in April with the goal of making it a "one-stop" for all things breaking. There is still more to do and updates will follow, but it is up and running!
So what's new? Well first we ask you to explore the new site for yourself. It has a new look and feel, and we have moved things around a bit. But it is all the old site was and more. Here is some of what is new:
- The new site is mobile friendly.
- The HOME page: the focus is on 3 pillars- COMPETE, TRAIN, and PROMOTE. It also has a FaceBook news feed to keep you up to date and some of the most recent records.
- COMPETE has all things related to competing in breaking. There are new pages for the USBA/WBA Pro Series and the Black Belt Challenge that will list upcoming events for these special competition opportunities. The new TOURNAMENTS page will list all available events on one page. The tournaments are searchable by name, year, state, and event region. Tournaments are now broken into three tiers- Premier, Standard, and Affiliate. Event tiers are also scrollable from left to right. The TOURNAMENT RESULTS page has all results from USBA/WBA Sanctioned Events and is searchable. The COMPETITOR INFO page has info on what competition day is like, and the most current list of offered divisions and rules. COMPETITION TUTORIALS is still a work in progress, but will have a tutorial video for every aspect of USBA/WBA competition.
- TRAIN is all about training in martial arts breaking (and possibly other areas) and providing resources to that end. Workshops, our new Online Store, and a future Training Videos section.
- PROMOTE is about promoting your event. This includes the new opportunity to promote your event, large or small, at the Affiliate Tier simply by purchasing official USBA/WBA boards.
- Our VIDEOS page is now broken up into categories. The videos are searchable so you can find what you are looking for. If you are a member and have video, whether it is competition or practice, please upload to Youtube and send the link to [email protected]. Let's show the World what breaking is all about!
- A dedicated USBA/WBA HALL OF FAME page (HOF). This page is all things Hall of Fame related, including award recipients and pictures from past events.
And there is more to come. We are in the final stages of setting up a comprehensive MEMBER LOG IN. Member log in will provide the following:
- Receive automatic discounts in the online store.
- Discounts at qualifying events (this will take the place of the current "Materials Rebate" program)
- View your current ratings points, competition records, world records, member renewal date, HOF awards, and more. All on your member profile page.
We are also finalizing our online store shipping so you will be able to order directly from the site and members will receive "member only" pricing not available any where else! We invite you to explore the new site and let us know if there is anything missing or not working as it should. We have been going through it, but the more eyes the better.
