Next month we're hosting three webinars for you to learn and earn continuing education on a variety of topics. They're FREE for anyone to participate! For dietetics or lactation professionals wishing to earn 1 CE credit, see details below.
Join experts from the California Departments of Consumer Affairs and Public Health to hear about current and soon-to-be-implemented California laws regarding medical and recreational use of cannabis (marijuana). We'll also discuss existing and proposed regulations aimed at protecting children, and how this may impact your day-to-day work in public health programs with young families. 
Reggie Caldwell, a "Purveyor of Happiness," is excited to explore with you the latest science of happiness based on research in positive psychology, neuroscience, and behavioral psychology. We'll discuss ways to cultivate happiness at work and in our professional lives, and how this advances workplace wellness to improve morale, productivity, and job satisfaction.

For local agencies working on WIC Worksite Wellness re-certification, this webinar can satisfy one of the requirements.
Just past the fall equinox, this topic wraps up our summer series. Join an expert panel to learn about the California lactation accommodation laws that protect breastfeeding women in the workplace. Laws have been on the books for years, but more work is needed to help workplaces implement them and remain accountable. This webinar is presented jointly by the California Department of Public Health, California Breastfeeding Coalition and CWA.

Each webinar provides 1 hour of Continuing Education Credit for:
Registered Dietitians: The California WIC Association is an approved provider by the Commission on Dietetic Registration; Provider Number CA004.
Lactation Professionals: The California WIC Association is an approved IBLCE long term provider; Provider Number CLT 115-01.

To earn CE credit, you must register in advance, attend the entire webinar, and complete an evaluation survey afterward. Then, you may purchase a CEU or CERP continuing education certificate for $25. CWA will provide a link to the payment page in the follow-up email.
