Tools for lifelong learning, boosting job skills

East Central Regional Library via its website is pleased to introduce two new online resources for lifelong learners and those wanting to enhance their computer and job skills. And all you need is your library card.

Dig deep into a topic of study withUniversal Class, a continuing education database offering courses in Exercise and Fitness, Entrepreneurship, Arts and Music, Home and Garden Care, Cooking, Computers and Technology, Health and Medicine, Homeschooling, Job Assistance, Law and Legal, Parenting and Family, Pet and Animal Care, plus hundreds more.

Under the Atomic Training database, improve your job skills and become more proficient in Microsoft, Apple, Adobe, Google and other popular software programs with unlimited access to how-to-training tutorials in the library or anywhere with an Internet connection. Mobile device training is also available, allowing you to learn how to get the most out of your smartphones and tablets.

These new databases are being launched in direct response to local library patrons who have requested these types of resources. Universal Class and Atomic Training can be found at www.ecrlib.org  under Resources and then Databases A to Z. Contact your library with any questions.
Staff Recommendation:
Twelve Dogs of Christmas (Print, Fiction)

Author David Rosenfelt's self-deprecating humor, love for and understanding of dogs, unforgettable characters, and ability to relay legal procedure without getting bogged down is consistent throughout his writings. His wit and slightly melodramatic character descriptions cause me to laugh out loud, and an author who does that with consistency is a winner in my book!
