A workshop session at The Link on July 12th took place called "York Region as an Intelligent Community".
The purpose of this program is to determine each participating municipalities' baseline measures of "intelligence" and then provide guidance on how to improve these measures. T
he information collected from the session will be used to complete the Community Metrics module of the ICF Community Accelerator Program. It will also be made available to the municipality to assist it in planning its own "intelligent" initiatives.
The meeting involved discussing current and planned programs and initiatives that fall under each of the six Intelligent Community Indicators. It provided an opportunity to propose new initiatives for consideration by York Region and its partner municipalities.
York Region appreciates all of the participation from the session and will look forward to exploring how the Town of Georgina and the Region can work together to become identified as an Intelligent Community.

Provide Your Input on the Jackson's Point Harbourfront Design.
3 Jackson's Point Design Options have been created as a result of the feedback from the public, Council, Town of Georgina staff, the technical team, technical agencies and landowners. We are now at the stage where we are looking for your input on the various elements within each Option. You may like or dislike various elements of each of the options. In the end, TPP will summarize the 'likes' into one preferred option (which could consist of various elements from each of the 3 options). The preferred option will be presented to Council for consideration.
