A Note From Our Executive Director

Ah, summer...those warm, active months that you long for all year.  The kids are home from school, the family can spend hours and hours together every day, and the outdoor activity options are endless!  It sounds so perfect, until about mid-July when it's just about as hot as it gets, the kids are bored, and you long for something constructive and fun to do that will help pass the days.

We get it!  And we are here for you!  As you've seen in this newsletter, we strive to get out and about all summer long, providing free, active programming in conjunction with our community partners so that you and the children in your life can bask in the joy of summer.  I encourage you to take the opportunity to attend some of these events with the children in your life to help them unplug, engage, and learn through play.

We continue to work steadfastly on our capital campaign to open the doors to the Mendel as a new world-class children's museum.  In addition to fantastic new exhibits, a create space with endless opportunities, party rooms for memorable special occasions, and countless play opportunities, we are thrilled that our new facility will expand our capacity for the programming that Saskatoon has come to love.

This Summer and every season, we strive to remain a fresh resource for growth, learning, and fun for you and the children in your life.  Stay up-to-date on our programs and our capital campaign by visiting museumforkids.sk.ca or drop by our Facebook and Twitter pages.  And for goodness sakes, avoid the summer boredom blues and join us at the museum or one of our myriad programs throughout the city!

Play On!
