Statement from KYTC regarding changes to traffic patterns at the Erlanger Interchange
(Exits 184, 184A and 184B)
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) has continued to review the pattern of traffic in the Erlanger Interchange area where several exit ramps were closed to support better traffic flow in that area during the Brent Spence Bridge Maintenance Project this summer. As we have monitored real-time traffic during the course of the project, we have determined that opening Exit 184A to Erlanger (KY 236 Eastbound) will improve access in this area.

Exit 184A to Erlanger (KY 236 Eastbound) is expected to reopen by Monday, July 24, at 5 a.m.

Please be aware that traffic traveling south on mainline I-71/I-75 will still not have access to Exit 184A. Only traffic traveling from either direction of I-275 will have access to Exit 184A.

The project team will continue to evaluate the area after opening Exit 184A in an effort to verify that the opening supports better traffic flow in this area.

Our highest priority remains the safety of the traveling public on all of our roadways, and we appreciate the public's cooperation as they adjust to new travel patterns.
