The Swedish Stars
We haven't seen that many Swedish players in the Dallas Stars in the last few years but for the 2014/2015 season there are three: Anders Lindback, John Klingberg and Patrik Nemeth. SACC-Texas interviewed the players about their backgrounds, how they like their new team and their new home city.

Swedish company Ecolean - founded in Helsingborg with operations in 30 countries - just opened their US office in Dallas. Through offering a "lighter approach to packaging", the company wants to respond to the global demand of a resource saving society.

Asa Algard on life as a working mom in Houston
 Asa Algard moved to Houston 14 months ago along with her husband and two young children. After two years of maternity leave, Asa recently started working for Ernst & Young as an Audit Manager; "I missed work and needed some new challenges".

Scandinavian Business Mixer
On September 16th, SACC-Houston along with the Norwegian-American Chamber of Commerce (NACC) and the Danish-American Chamber of Commerce (DACC) organized a Scandinavian Business Mixer. SAS were there promoting their new flight between Houston and Stavanger and Danish chef Soren Pederson served smorrebrod.
