For the week ending July 22, 2017: The following traffic advisory includes road construction and major maintenance projects requiring long-term lane restrictions and/or closures along the state and federal highway system in Pike County. PIKE COUNTY
C.R. 50 (Watson Road) is closed for a dual bridge replacement and realignment project. The project site is located between the route's junction with S.R. 335 and C.R. 55 (Hay Hollow Road), and the closure will be in effect for up to 90 days. Motorists will be detoured via S.R. 335 and C.R. 39 (Higby Road) to C.R. 35 (Old U.S. 35) in Ross County to Watson Road. All work is anticipated to be completed in mid-fall. (#16-0485)
A bridge replacement project is under way on C.R. 43 (Jasper Road). Crews will be replacing the bridge over Sugar Run, and during the first phase of the project, traffic will be maintained by flaggers and impacts should be minimal. During late phases of the project, traffic will be maintained in one lane with temporary signals. (#16-3038)
C.R. 69 (Bailey Chapel Road) is closed at the 0.70-mile marker for a bridge replacement project. The project site is situated between C.R. 59 (Big Run Road and C.R. 80 (Loop Road), and the closure will be in effect for up to 60 days. While the route is closed, motorists will be detoured locally via Big Run Road, U.S. 23, S.R. 32, McCorkle Road and Loop Road. The project is scheduled to be completed by early summer. (#16-0626)
As part of the Lake White Dam rehabilitation and bridge replacement project, S.R. 104 is closed between S.R. 552 and T.R. 420 (Boswell Run Road). In addition, S.R. 551, S.R. 552 and C.R. 105 (Forest Hills Boulevard) are closed at their junction with S.R. 104 for reconstruction. While S.R. 104 traffic is being detoured by way of U.S. 23 and S.R. 32, S.R. 551 and S.R. 552 traffic is being detoured via S.R. 220 at Waverly.
