July 14, 2017

Baghdad - Journal News

The United States has pledged more than $ 1 billion in reconstruction and stability to the liberated areas in Iraq, the US envoy said on Friday, welcoming the return of trade routes between Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Jordan.

July 14, 2017 Mnt Goat News Brief

Hi Everyone,

I bring you much news today.

tman23: More than one thousand Peshmerga forces, wounded in the battle against Islamic State (IS), have been sent abroad for treatment over the past six months.

chattels: Liberated Mosul residents take moment to breathe MOSUL, Iraq — As the Islamic State (IS) crumbled in western Mosul and Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi traveled to Iraq's second largest city to proclaim its liberation on July 9, some Iraqis began to think about plans for reconstruction.

The government moved to enforce security, and Mosul residents — able to breathe a bit — took steps toward returning to normalcy, though it will take some time to undo what IS has done.

As the Iraqi forces declare the total liberation of Mosul, its residents rediscover the pleasures of freedom, for a moment forgetting about the past and the challenges ahead. Author Nicolas Lupo Posted July 13, 2017
