Fifth Sunday- July 30th
Share Jesus with friends.
Have a BBQ with your neighbors.
Invite friends over.
Go on a hike with neighbors who need to know Jesus.
Every fifth Sunday, Ekklesia Church intentionally chooses to have no gathering! In fact we encourage all the people in our church to go out and do something with others that would in some way grow the church! Think of ways you could make your mission tangible with others who are in your neighborhood. Invite people over, have a bbq, invite neighbors to go kayaking with you somewhere, go on a hike with friends who wouldn't normally go to church on Sunday! Just think of all the ways you could connect with your acquaintances who are unchurched. These may be your friends, neighbors or co-workers. They might not be willing to go to church with you but they might come over your house for a bbq.

Cruise Event in Downtown Port Orchard
August 13th
Ekklesia also will have another opportunity to serve in our community next month on August 13th. The annual "Cruise" will again take over downtown Port Orchard along with hundreds of classic cars on display. The #2 cottage that we have placed on a trailer will be moved down to the city owned park on Bay Street for display during the "Cruise" event. We will again set up a display tent with information about the "Homes For All" project. This opportunity to be light in our world will again place us in the middle of a major community event where thousands of area residents will gather.
