Liturgist List Sign-ups
Northmont invites you to participate in a worship service by being a liturgist. A new list of openings for liturgists has been posted in the office hallway under the flower sign up chart. The dates open are October 1 - World Wide Communion Sunday  - through Advent. Please feel free to sign your name to any date that works for you. There are no requirements, other than a willingness to help lead in worship on a Sunday. Thank you!
Barn Service & Church Picnic - August 27 at North Park
Please plan on joining us for a fun and imaginative service in the Rose Barn at North Park. Our youth group will help lead the service. The Rose Barn is accessible to persons with disabilities, and the surrounding lawns will be available for lawn games and lots of conversation over lunch.

Scottish Heritage Day
Our annual Scottish Heritage Day will be celebrated on World Wide Communion Sunday, October 1. The rich and diverse history of the cloud of witnesses who devoted themselves to our Lord God will be celebrated and remembered.

Praying the Psalms
Thursdays in the Berean room at 10:00am, resuming July 27.

I am away on holiday this week. Please welcome storytellers Glen Wissner and Rashmee Graczyk to the pulpit.
A Taize service will be held July 30.

Doc's Clef Notes
Our new Summer/Family Choir will debut this coming Sunday July 23. Everyone is welcome from grade 7 on up. We'll hold a brief rehearsal in the choir loft Sunday at 9:15am.
The text for the anthem is the hymn "What A Friend We Have In Jesus," set to the tune
of "Beach Spring," arranged by Gilbert Martin. Musically, it's very easy . If you like to
sing, come to church a little early and join this group and help us Make a Joyful Noise.

If you have ever thought about playing in the Bell choir and would like to give it a try, here's your opportunity. Summer Bells will be offered for two weeks in August on Thursday evenings, August 10 & 17 beginning at 7:00pm. If you can count to 4, know your right hand from your left hand, and have a desire to learn, you are a candidate. For more information, contact [email protected] or call me at 412-606-3322 .

See you in church,
David (Doc)
THE SPIRITUAL FORMATION MINISTRY TEAM   is preparing for the Fall schedule. We ask that if you feel called to this ministry, please pray for discernment. It takes many hands to help others on their Faith Journey. Where do you feel called here at Northmont? Working with the children during Wednesday Club, Youth Group, Sunday Morning classes for all ages, and Nursery Attendant are just some of the many opportunities in the Northmont Community. Please pray for the team as we move forward.

ADULT EDUCATION
Impact Bible Study continues Sunday, July 30, at 9am in the Berean Room.

Adult Bible Study continues at 9am in the Malawi Room.

WEDNESDAY CLUB  is finished for this session. Please watch for the next session to begin in the fall!
