Muslim Leadership Training Program: Training Effective Messengers

Imam Feisal Leads Eid al-Fitr Service at the Renaissance Westchester Hotel
Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, Founder of Cordoba House, concluded the blessed month of Ramadan with an inspirational Eid al-Fitr service at the Renaissance Westchester Hotel, where he led the Eid prayer and delivered a  khutba ("sermon"). Imam Feisal spoke about his own personal experience of Ramadan, Lailat al-Qadr ("Night of Power"), and how to taste the inner realities of the Muslim statement of faith (the shahada). He also tackled the spiritual dimensions of the Muslim faith, reminding the community to focus on purifying their hearts from all shortcomings and of the importance of refraining from arrogance. Such a blessed occasion would not have been possible without the efforts of the esteemed Eid Committee, which includes Farnaz Shah, Nevine Haider, Silvat Malik, and Razia Syed. Read more »
Cordoba House Celebrates Eid!
On Monday, June 26, Cordoba House organized a lovely Eid al-Fitr picnic in Battery Park , with children's activities, music, sports, and even a magic show! It was a joyous occasion that brought people together for some fun after a long month of fasting and spiritual reflection.
