Sunday, July 16 - This week the Fable for our broadly graded summer Religious Education class is “Crocodile and Ghost Bat Have a Hullabaloo.” The fable has a message about name-calling. Our craft will be writing our names with sand pictures. Cindy Wakeland and Carol Veit will be the class leaders.
Do you have a favorite fable or folk story? Let Cindy Wakeland know as she is planning the August 20th service centered on Fables, Folk Tales, and music.

Sandy Hannum for Amanda Owings - Amanda Owings is grieving the loss of her sister-in-law, Nicole Owings, who died on Friday, July 7, following a stroke. She was 36 years old and leaves behind two children, 5 and 7 years old. Please keep Amanda's family in your thoughts and prayers.

Kent Conrad Piano Fund Update
We're 96% of the way toward our fund raising goal for our baby grand! We now have 33 donations totaling $8,413, which means we are only 4 keys away from the full 88 keys of our goal. Thank you to all who have contributed so generously and so quickly! If you want to be part of this project, you've still got time to join us. Let's finish this baby!

July Shared Offering - Daily Bread Soup Kitchen
Our mission is to feed the hungry of our community regardless of race,religion, or ethnicity. We welcome all volunteers to this service who share an unconditional positive regard for every human being. We provide a safe respectful and inviting environment in an atmosphere of hope and dignity. We serve a hot meal of soup, salad, entree, dessert and beverage to over 200 guests per day, seven days a week. We are entirely volunteer run and depend on donations from individuals, churches, businesses and local grants. Please note July Shared Offering in the memo line of your donation to UUCUC. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
