Scottsdale Unified School District | Bond Update 7/12/17

Thank you for signing up for weekly updates on bond & override projects within SUSD. We are committed to transparency through this process, and we welcome your feedback. Like you, we can't wait to see our new schools go up and our existing schools improve.

NOTICE OF NIGHT WORK!
Overnight Construction Starts Next Week

Starting the week of July 17, there will be some pre-dawn construction on the new football fields at Coronado, Saguaro and Chaparral High Schools. Lights will be on to accommodate this work, but crews will make every effort to minimize the disruption to neighbors.

WEEKLY PROGRESS

On Monday, July 10, architects and project leaders met with the City of Phoenix to discuss access and egress at Hopi. To address neighbor concerns, architects recommended offsetting the new western campus entrance from Calle del Medio, but for safety reasons, the City of Phoenix has decided the entrance must line up with the street.

We understand neighbors may be disappointed by the city's decision, but it is our hope that the position of the new campus buildings on the east side of campus will reduce the traffic on Calle del Medio when the new school opens.

Also this week, we're pleased to report construction is ahead of schedule on our tracks & fields at Saguaro, Coronado and Chaparral and on preliminary groundwork at   Cheyenne Traditional .
