The National Football Foundation (NFF) & College Hall of Fame released a logo celebrating the 70 th  anniversary of the organization, which was incorporated on Dec. 8, 1947, in Syracuse, N.Y., and has become a leading voice in promoting  "The Good in the Game"  during the past seven decades.  Click here to download the logo and style guide.

The NFF has developed into a leading non-profit educational organization that runs programs designed to use the power of amateur football in developing scholarship, citizenship and athletic achievement in young people.

"From MacArthur to Manning, the NFF has always attracted many of our nation's greatest leaders in support of our mission," said NFF President & CEO Steve Hatchell. "And they have all shared our strong belief that college football plays a unique role in preparing young people for success later in life. The NFF has survived the test of time with flying colors, and we wanted to note this significant milestone by paying homage to all of those who have contributed during the past seven decades with a special commemorative logo."

The NFF's 70 th  anniversary logo was created by The Marketing Arm and its Dallas office.
NFF President & CEO  Steve Hatchell  is among 10 members of the 13th class that will be inducted into the University of Colorado Athletic Hall of Fame this November 10.

The 2017 class will join 91 individuals (and the 1959 ski team as a unit) who have been enshrined to date. The group will officially be inducted in the Hall of Fame on Friday, Nov. 10, in a luncheon ceremony at the CU Champions Center; will be featured in the Pearl Street Stampede parade that night; and then will be introduced at halftime of the CU-Southern California football game on Saturday, Nov. 11, to complete the weekend.

Hatchell started as a football team manager doing what they do - laundry, sizing equipment, fixing helmets - to being an assistant to the athletic director, the late Eddie Crowder, and as the right-hand man to ski coach Bill Marolt at the front end of CU's eight-straight NCAA ski titles. He also served as co-sports information director at Colorado. His successful career in college sports administration includes stints as commissioner of the Metro, Southwest and Big 12 conferences and as the executive director of the Orange Bowl. Hatchell has served as the President & CEO of the NFF since January 2005.
Bobby Elliott , a University of Iowa three-year football letterman (1972, 1974-75) and 1975 NFF National Scholar-Athlete, passed away July 8 following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was 64.

Elliott played defensive back at Iowa from 1972 to 1975, leading the team in interceptions and pass break-ups as a senior. Elliott twice earned Academic All-America and Academic All-Big Ten honors and received the Big Ten Medal of Honor.

Elliott was a college football coach for 38 years, including stints as a defensive coordinator at Ball State (1978-1980), Iowa (1996-98), Kansas State (2002-05) and San Diego State (2006-08). After coaching at Notre Dame from 2012-16, he was currently serving on the Nebraska staff as a defensive analyst.
