We are mid-way through our Christmas in July celebration of giving. We are people who celebrate the incarnation year-round, after all. In this case, we are celebrating God-with-us in the form of a new start. With a new leadership team coming together (pastors and staff) and an exciting year ahead of mission and vision, it is a good time to be mindful of all of God's gifts to us. And it's also a great time to inject some enthusiasm and financial investment into the ministries of the church to get us started in a positive direction heading into the new ministry year. Throughout the month of July, you are invited to make a second mile gift to help move us forward during what is typically a slow time of year for contributions. Various items which are part of our operating expense can be given as gifts to the church, simply pick out a gift tag in the parlor or visit the church website (www.chsaviour.org) and click on the "Christmas in July" graphic. Thank you for helping make this a season of celebration.

COOKIE COLLECTION FOR USO
Church Women United is collecting cookies for USO. The cookies will be much appreciated by the young people and their families as the recruits are waiting to be inducted into the service. Cookies can be store-bought or homemade and can be delivered to Church of the Saviour by August 13.
SUMMERFEST 2017
SummerFest 2017 is happening Saturday, August 5 from 5-9 p.m., and we need you! The purpose of SummerFest is to reach out to neighbors, friends, and family to provide a fun, safe event for the communities in the Greater Heights. Once again, this event will be COMPLETELY FREE - free food, free games, free admission. We hope everyone from Church of the Saviour can come and enjoy the evening with our church family and our community. To be as welcoming and hospitable as possible, we are especially seeking individuals who can commit to simply being present for all or a portion of the evening, and are willing to offer a friendly greeting to folks you don't yet know. ANNUAL FURNITURE GIVE AWAY
Be God's ambassador to the world's future leaders through the international student ministry of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at CWRU and CSU. In order to live our call to welcome the stranger, we need volunteer hosts for temporary housing and drivers to pick up students from the airport. In addition, please save your donations and some time to volunteer at the International Student Furniture Giveaway Event on Saturday, August 19 in the Great Hall.
