IACP Initiatives - A Report Card! Keep tuning in to IACP's Executive Vice President (EVP) Cynthia Blankenship's Member Initiatives to see where we're making progress and what we're checking off the list!  You asked IACP for several key changes - and we're making them! IACP is in the midst of reviewing & revitalizing ALL of our current programs. We want to ensure we're completely in tune with our membership, providing you with what you need. We're looking at virtually everything and asking - does this truly serve our members? Are we providing information in a way that's timely, helpful and user friendly? As part of  Executive Vice President Cynthia Blankenship' s new initiatives - IACP is revitalizing our  Membership Survey efforts  so that we are keeping in touch with you and regularly engaging your opinions. And, most importantly, communicating the changes we're making based on your opinions.  Stay tuned for a membership survey being emailed to you in the next couple of weeks! 

Meet Your Board and EVP! IACP wants you to have access to the EVP, the staff, as well as the Board of Directors. Stay up-to-date on where IACP's Executive Vice President Cynthia Blankenship, Esq. is traveling, and set-up meetings or come by and say hi! We want to hear from you! Since becoming EVP just a few short weeks ago - Cynthia has been getting out on the road to speak at a number of events, keeping members updated on what's going on in the legislative/regulatory world of pharmacy compounding. She just returned from The Compound Conference in Columbus, Ohio! Call for IACP Board of Directors Nominations - If you're interested in serving on the IACP Board of Directors, please let us know! The IACP Board of Directors develops the IACP Strategic Plan to set the direction for the organization, and serves as visionaries for the future of pharmacy compounding. Board members devote their time, energy and ideas to lead the organization forward and in turn, lead the compounding profession to greater success. Federal Advocacy

Federal Legislation has been introduced and HR 2871 has 19 Cosponsors!   We need your help - Has Your Representative Signed On? Sending a direct communication to your Representative will only take a few minutes with IACP's easy-to-use Voter Voice action alert platform. HR 2871 will help protect access to compounded medications on which your patients rely. It will help clarify the Drug Quality & Security Act (DQSA) in a way that will better align the statute with congressional intent and better balance public safety and patient access. Act, Today!

The Congressional Recess Ends Soon. Have you used IACP's Congressional Recess Packet, yet? This is a very important district recess year!  With appropriations language being considered as soon as Congress returns, legislation collecting co-sponsors and many states moving forward with regulations, Make Your Voice Heard!  IACP has provided the tools you need to host a successful congressional district visit as the 115th U.S. Congress goes on summer recess until September 4, 2017. This Congressional Recess, it's crucial to ask your Member of Congress for their support of HR 2871 - The Preserving Patient Access to Compounded Medications Act of 2017 introduced by Congressman Morgan Griffith (VA) and Congressman Henry Cuellar (TX)Check out IACP's Congressional Packet!

I ACP Keeps You Up to Date in Your STATE! IACP is ramping up all State efforts to not only track all State legislative and regulatory action, but also to let you know of opportunities to comment on State action! IACP also is drastically ramping up efforts to comment on State action impacting compounding! Stay tuned to your email for frequent state updates from IACP.  State Alerts this Week - Florida - August 22, 2017 - Florida Board of Pharmacy Proposes Compounding Rule Amendment. Comments due by September 8, 2017. Also lookout for changes to the IACP website in our website restructure that will allow you to not only track all state legislation and regulatory action as well as stay in the know on all opportunities to comment to State action, but will also allow you to see all IACP comments submitted to States!

IACP Launches New Compounding Advocacy Website for Patients and Providers -Partnership for Personalized Prescriptions (P3)! We've heard your concerns to get patients more involved and share their stories with Congress!  We have responded by creating the new Patient Advocacy website. This website Features the Ability to Send Direct Messages to Congress, Share Patient Testimonials, Keep up with Compounding News & More! We've developed clear, concise and easy to understand information about compounding. Working with our providers within the DQSA Coalition, we have identified the needs for compounding and the physicians that show great support to deliver a clear message to patients.  Check it out! 

Use the Patient Advocacy Website to Take Action! Tell Your Patients and Providers to Ask their Representatives to Support HR 2871 - The Preserving Patient Access to Compounded Medications Act - By visiting P3's Congressional Action Alert site, advocates can instantly send a direct message to their Congressional Representatives, asking them to cosponsor the bipartisan legislation, HR 2871. Visit P3's Congressional Action Alert site. It's easy to use and will only take a few minutes to send an important HR 2871 message to Congress.
