Do you know a young budding artist? We will host a weaving workshop with Armando Sosa  that is open to all Mercer County youth on Saturday, June 10. Armando began his weaving career as a child in his native Guatemala, helping his father and grandfather work their looms.

This introduction to the art of Guatemalan folk weaving is open to youth from grades 4 through 12 (as of September 2017). A morning workshop (10 am - 12 pm) or afternoon workshop (1 pm - 3 pm) is available to 10 weavers each, working together on 5 table looms.

louiseLouise Penny Book Group
The Louise Penny book group will discuss the mystery novel Bury Your Dead  on Wednesday, June 14.
Canadian mystery writer Louise Penny's plots are "full of understanding of the deeper places in human nature and many wise observations that will enrich the reader long after the pages are closed."

We'll gather on Wednesday, June 14, 7:00-8:30 pm in the Conference Room to discuss the sixth of her twelve-book Inspector Gamache series, Bury Your Dead, and look for those deeper places.

Come if you've read the book, if you've started the book, if you're interested in the book.
