GATHER4GOOD
Loyola Catholic School is excited to announce that  Gather4Good , a service event put on by Catholic United Financial, will be coming to our campus on Sunday, October 1, 12:15-1:30pm.
At Gather4Good events, people of all ages assemble care kits that are distributed locally to homeless and domestic abuse shelters and to those receiving help through the Catholic United Response program. At our Loyola event, we will also be packing an additional 1000 care kits (above and beyond the kits designated for local needs) to be sent to hurricane Harvey victims in their time of need.
We hope you and your family will consider joining us for a day of giving back. We would love your presence that day to help us assemble care kits or to help with additional volunteer needs throughout the event. Registration can be found at the Gather4Good website .
If you are interested in learning more or finding out how you can support the event or donate, visit the website or contact us at [email protected] with any questions you might have

Juniors and Seniors:
The National College Fair bulletin  has arrived.  It lists all the colleges that will be at the fair.  There are 3 sessions available: Wed., 9/27 9am-noon or 5-8pm, and Thurs. 9/28 from 9am-noon.  Remember that all juniors planning on a 4 year college should attend this college fair or the one being held at Bethany (Tues., 10/24 from 1-2:30pm).  Parents are encouraged to attend with their student.  Choose the questions you want to ask from the list in your packet you were given on College Night.  If you want ideas on which colleges to talk wit h, use the free college search at  www.bigfuture.org

The Junior Class Retreat will be held  Nov. 15 - 17 at Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center.  We are in need of 4-5 parent volunteers to help chaperone.  If you are interested please email Sue Goebel  for more details.

Please note: The 6th grade will still be attending Wolf Ridge next spring.
Juniors (and Sophomores who may take the ACT this school year):
Mrs. Goebel will be offering the first ACT prep workshop on Friday, 9/22.  Be sure to keep that day open for this valuable, free preparation for the science portion of the ACT.  Since that portion is always last in the test, it is important to get as familiar as you can with the tables and graphs they use before you take the ACT for the first time.
