Rocking Horse Rehab's 16th Anniversary!!!
Today Rocking Horse Rehab celebrates our 16 year anniversary at the Essex Equestrian Center. Over the years, we have been privileged to work with countless individuals at our equine assisted therapy center.

Our clients, staff, volunteers, interns, and horses have taught us many invaluable lessons. The support we have received from EEC has enabled us to provide equine assisted therapies to children, adolescents, young adults, families, and schools from across the
tri-state area.

Our RHR horses, Small Fry, Que Boy, and Tetley, have been outstanding in their dedication to the program and to sharing love and happiness with each individual that has crossed their path.

We have been fortunate to work with some of EEC's amazing horses as well: Nickelodeon, Fuzzy, Woody, Doodles, Winnie, and Star. They take wonderful care of our riders and help the clients and therapists to work towards their treatment goals.

Over the past 16 years we have witnessed many dreams come true. From first words to first steps, to bucket list wishes, we are so grateful to have been a part of these moments with thousands of children and families.
Here are some of our most proud and memorable moments at RHR...
We love dressing up our furry friends for the holidays!
We've enjoyed just spending some quiet time observing our herd of horses!
Many of our therapists have been honored to be nominated Favorite Kids' Docs by New Jersey Family Magazine year after year.
We are proud of all of our "heroes of the month" nominated by our therapists. The Kids' Wish Network program has honored so many RHR kids! They truly are heroes to us!
2016 - Each year in the spring, we are honored to have a group of volunteers from L'Oreal come to refurbish our sensory garden. After a hard day's work of weeding and putting down fresh mulch, the volunteers get to spend time with the RHR horses. Pictured is the 2016 group with our favorite Small Fry.
2015 - In June of 2015, Rocking Horse Rehab was honored to provide a last wish for a wonderful woman with terminal cancer. Nickelodeon, an EEC pony, helped us make Ruth's last wish to ride one more time come true. We were all so thankful to be part of this experience!
2014 - Since 2014, RHR has partnered with Good Grief, an organization that provides support for children who are grieving the loss of a family member. Each year a group comes to us to visit and work with our horses and learn how horses can help us cope with grief.
2010 - Eddie Rosenthal of the New York Yankees got to visit Rocking Horse Rehab in April of 2010. He spent time with our clients, and showed off his world series rings, and he loved meeting Small Fry and Sheri's horse, Harley.
2004 - Small Fry arrived at Rocking Horse Rehab. What an amazing 13 years we have had with this wonderful little horse! He has been a positive influence in too many lives to count. Pictured right are director Sheri Marino's sons, Andrew and Jack, greeting Small Fry when he first arrived.
