Healthy Living and Healthy Relationships for Today and the Future
Story from Merritt Central Elementary School
Merritt Central Elementary School looked at their target population of girls in Grades 6 and 7 and recognized the need to improve the culture of respect, kindness and appreciation and introduce a healthy living education program that addressed physical, emotional and sexual health. Their goals were to improve the physical, emotional and social well-being of the students, to promote healthy habits, positive relationships and personal growth and to encourage the importance of kindness, citizenship and contributing to the community.  Click here to learn more.

Yoga Day @ Rutland Elementary
Story from Rutland Elementary School

Rutland Elementary School set out to introduce their school community to a yoga and mindfulness program that would help to improve school and community connectedness, physical literacy and healthy relationships. They also wanted to see if the yoga and mindfulness the students were taught could be used as a form of self-regulation in the classroom environment, when needed.  Click here  to learn more.
