Rescheduling Events
Several events from last week had to be postponed due to the cancellation of school. We are working on coordinating new dates for these events and will post them on the website and Mabry Minute. 
After School Enrichment (ASE) Update
ASE
Parents please remind your children that  After School Enrichment (ASE) classes start on Monday the 18th.  Due to the hurricane, the reminder backpack tags will be placed as soon as possible.  In the meantime, review your registrations and remind your children daily if they will be attending a class.  If your child for any reason will not be attending an ASE session this week that they are registered for, please send a written note notifying the teacher of a change in their afternoon dismissal.  Thank you for your help!
Yearbook Cover Design Contest
Primary Grades (PK-2nd) Requirements for back cover contest: Must include the school vision Inspired to learn, lead, succeed
 
Intermediate Grades (3rd -5th) Requirements for front cover contest: School name and the year, (2017-2018)
 
The design for both the front and the back must be student created by hand, not on the computer. In order for your design to be judged, your name must be on the back, not the front. All creations must be submitted on plain white 8 ½ X 11 paper. Turn your cover in to your homeroom teacher. Deadline: Thu Sep 21th

Mabry PTA Walk-A-Thon will kick off on 9/22 due to hurricane delays and run until October 6. Check Friday folders for Walk-A-Thon packets. Donate today!
Deadline Extended for Book Donation Drive
Who: Girl Scout Troop 992
What: Book Drive to benefit Shaw Elementary
When: Sep 5th - 22nd
Where: Collection bins at Mabry (Front Office, Cafeteria, Media Center)  Why: Access to books in the home promotes reading skills.
