Making school integration work:  The latest Research Brief from the National Coalition on School Diversity, " How to Support the Social-Emotional Well-Being of Students of Color," by Carol Learned-Miller, looks at how administrators and teachers at predominantly white schools have succeeded in making their schools more welcoming and inclusive environments.  It's important to read the whole Brief, but we also have this one-minute video overview to get you started. 

 

More on the Trump Administration's unlawful suspension of the Small Area Fair Market Rent rule:  The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities has published an excellent commentary urging HUD to reinstate the mandatory implementation of the Small Area Fair Market Rent rule, and a detailed analysis of HUD's Interim Report on the Small Area FMR demonstration, which, contrary to Trump Administration claims, actually supports the implementation of the new rule.  The suspension of the rule was also recently covered in the Atlantic, quoting former HUD Secretary Julian Castro.
