Dear Hennepin Community:

The season of autumn is upon us. It is a time when we are reminded of God's Presence that moves and breathes among us and through us. It is also a time when we are reminded that letting go is a part of the circle of life and that death exists within that circle of birth, life, death and resurrection.

This week one of our community, Mary Jo Soltau, passed on into eternal life on September 12th. Mary Jo was a long time member of Hennepin and she will be mourned by her husband Jim and their family. We will celebrate her life on Saturday, September 23 at 11:00am in the sanctuary.

As we watch the autumn colors emerge and the birds take flight to other parts of the world, we give thanks for Mary Jo's life that graced this Earth and was loved deeply by her family and friends. Let us keep her and those that loved her in our prayers. We know that God walks with us and holds us all in mercy, in life and in death, and in the promise of resurrection.

In blessings and peace,

Sally Howell Johnson
